Bell Flavors & Fragrances EMEA – Fragrance Trends 2015.
Recognising consumer behaviour is the key element for successful product marketing. In the personal and household care business it is particularly important to spot each year´s market and consumer trends, evaluate them while having upcoming product developments in mind and create new ideas out of them.
Bell Flavors & Fragrances has intensively analysed the market and consumer preferences in scent. The result is an interesting range of new fragrance ideas – divided into two main categories: the so called "Fragrance Comfort Zone" and the "Fragrance Innovation Zone".
"Fragrance Comfort Zone" - Tradition meets modern spirit.
From time to time customers get confused and lose track of products due to short product life cycles. Therefore, familiarity plays an essential role for customers. Customers of Bell will be pleasedd to know that they can rely on the following in 2015: traditional and familiar scents will be placed in personal and household care products. Rose is the all-rounder with its various facets all-over-the-year: fresh and lively fragrances are used for spring and summertime while creamy-cosmetic compositions will pamper through the winter season. A summer highlight will be the topic of tea. The product range is diversified and offers light and cool-fresh variants including aromatic and tangy tea interpretations. Such fragrances will be replaced by leathery and heavy-sweet compositions in the second half of the year. Characteristics of these fragrances include their warmth and softness, which creates an irresistible and glamourous impression.
"Fragrance Innovation Zone" – valuable, mystical and eroticising.
Exciting, innovative and "sparking interest in more" – that is how the second category of Bell can be described. This category focuses on extrodinary and new fragrance compositions. One of Bell's determined fragrance trends in 2015 is the topic of rhubarb in different applications. Green, lively and slightly bitter notes combined with floral elements create an exciting fragrance experience, especially during summertime.
Furthermore the trend colour of 2015, Pantone's® Marsala, will affect the world of fragrances. In detail, it means that among others, sensual berry nuances, will touch all four seasons and will provide its characteristic scent profile to various product categories.
The demand for oriental fragrances will be satisfied by eroticising oud-compositions as well as leathery accents. These fragrance profiles help to add a premium character to products.
